Background and purposes

GEDIDH is an International Law Society which aims to promote scientific research and production in International Human Rights Law. It also assists in the preparation of the delegations representing UFMG Law School in seminars and national and international moot courts competitions.


GEDIDH has obtained significant achievements which, beyond being fundamental for the strengthening of the group, contribute to form practicioners engaged in the protection of Human Rights in Brazil.

The winning of the Award Inter-American System for Protection of Human Rights, promoted by SEDH / PR,  in the Years 2005, 2006 and 2007, the success achieved in the 10th Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition, in 2005, when the team won the second position in the competition, and in the 11th Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition, in 2006, when it  conquered in the sixth position, are evidences that the work has been well developed.


This year, the participation at the event is guaranteed. Team's members are:
